Our Staff
Brother Mark Thrift has been the
pastor here for twenty-three years. His father was
the pastor here before him for twenty-two years.
He travels and preaches extensively, and is a highly
sought after conference and revival preacher.
Bro. Mark was saved at the age of
sixteen, and felt the call to preach shortly thereafter.
He attended Lynchburg Baptist College, Hyles-Anderson
College, and graduated from Baptist Christian College in
Shreveport, La. in 1978. He obtained a Master's
degree from Trinity Valley Baptist Seminary & College in
2001.
Bro. Mark continues to preach the
old-time religion from the old-time book. Bro.
Mark is a dynamic preacher who strongly believes that
expository preaching is the kind of preaching that will
feed and grow the church. It is his contention
that as a result of topical preaching the church is not
being fed, and is therefore weak. He desires not
to conform to the programs and gimmicks of the modern
church, but to solidly ground his flock in the doctrines
and teachings of the Word of God.
Our Ministries
Sunday School
We have
graduated Sunday Schools for all ages starting at two
years old and upward. Sunday school starts at
10:am.
Nursery
Our
nursery starts at the infant level and goes until two
years old. Our nursery staff are dedicated to the
spiritual and physical welfare of your children.
Van
We have a
van that runs every Sunday morning. If you or your
children need a ride you may call the the church.
Youth
Our teens
and young adults meet each Tuesday night for a time of
fellowship and fun centered on God's Word. If you

Nursing Home
We have
twice monthly services at one of the nursing homes here
in Humble. If you're interested in us coming to
minister to you please call the church.
Jail Services
We have
members that minister in the local jails and prisons on
a weekly basis. If you are interested please call.
Grace Bible School
A
ministry of our church that seeks to reach out to
prisoners in our area.
